Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and is somewhat recovering from the self induced "food coma's" that we (myself included) have been suffering from these past couple of days. There's nothing like a couple of days of copious amounts of eating to get in you in the festive swing of things. This outfit is un-intentionally my take on looking like 60s Parisian film extra which I have to admit I kinda love, as it's tad more girly-er than my normal get-up on the blog. As its fair to say 99% of the time I look like I should belong in 90s grunge band... That being said I recently purchased these suede effect over the knee boots, with the idea behind the purchase being that I can pair them with t-shirt dresses as an updated winter friendly look as they are so darn warm. I can indeed confirm they are.

Skincare is that step in my beauty routine that I like to invest time in, especially when using the right products to suit my current skin type. One of my favourite things to do when it comes to skincare,  is to switch-up this routine once in a while and try something new. That's where this nifty product comes in. Created by the brand Beauty Kitchen this High Definition Facial Oil is created with 100% natural (and sustainable) Seahorse Plankton (where no seahorses have been harmed in the making). Which for those who don't know is a micro-algae that protects itself from environmental stresses by producing a unique mix of antioxidants, omega 3, lipids, sterols, catenoids and those all important vitamins-A, D, E + K. Believe it all or not, these key ingredients create amazing beauty benefits for sensitive and problem skin.

With myself suffering from senstive/combination skin, I love to use this product after I've cleansed my face in the evening, by applying two/three drops all over my face-as a little goes a long way. As a result of a couple of weeks use I have noticed that my skin feels smoother and looks 'brighter'. This product is a perfect stocking filler for yourself or someone you know who's interested in trying out new sustainable/natural beauty products.

Mom Jeans have been a trend which I have full embraced with open arms ever since it first came back into fashion. One of my favourite ways to style this particular pair of jeans is to scour Pinterest for inspiration looking at archive photos from both the 70s and 90s, and finding a balance in-between for my styling choices.
I've have been currently 'living' in these ones from New Look, and when I say 'living' I literally mean it. As I'm finding an excuse to style them with most items in my wardrobe, in fact I think they are quickly becoming one of my most worn items.

Leather trousers are one of those pieces of clothing that can either work well or look like your wearing a leather onesie, if paired with co-ordianting items. I've been eyeing up this particular pair a while back when they first hit stores, as I love the high-waisted style of them. As I didn't want to go OTT with the styling I decided to pair them with my cord 'borg' jacket for a contrast in texture. I also decided to pair it with one of my latest t-shirts from The Mountain-tied in the middle for a subtle touch of detailing.

Back in June I blogged about the popcorn brand Propercorn and their newly launched campaign the "Institute of Flavour".  Where they invited everyone to form their very own signature flavour using a list of ingredients on offer, with the lucky winner's flavour being made and sold nationwide. So fast forward to now the winner's flavour has been announced as "Twisted Honeycomb" which is a blend of honey, Madagascan vanilla and sea salt. The flavour actually reminds me of a variation of the classic "sweet" popcorn infused with honey. The limited edition pack is available on Ocado.com and in Whole Foods stores nationwide, or on Propercorn's website here.

(All Propercorn popcorn is suitable for Vegans, Gluten & Wheat free and GM free)

I spotted this Puffa Jacket on the New Look website a couple of weeks back and after toying between this one and another (of a similar style), this one finally made its way into my shopping basket. I never thought I would be into the "puffa jacket" trend that has been recently gracing most fashion outlets, but there's something about the way such a jacket adds a different feel to a whole outfit that I like. That, and it is like wearing your duvet out - minus the obvious qualities.

I purchased this jacket earlier this Spring and being Spring I never fully got to 'enjoy' it in all it's faux-fur glory. Despite this I have to admit buying winter coats in earlier spring works wonders on your purse as I believe this was under £30 reduced. Ever since the weather has turned into full-on winter mode this coat has come into its own, its basically becoming apart of me-kinda like a duvet. I think price per wear has turned into > 0.0000001p.

I've been recently wearing a lot of these t-shirt style dresses paired with plaid shirts and oversized knits, as besides from being one of the comfiest outfits out, they are also have 90s grunge aesthetic written all over them. I picked up this one months ago from Missguided and immediately fell for its Harley Davidson-esque print and grey marl fabric- which makes a subtle change to the norm of black. Paired with a few simple accessories including a must-have choker from one of my favourite Etsy stores. I have to admit this is kinda my go-to "lazy" uni-outfit for those early morning lectures, when my brain hasn't woken up yet.

Last month I headed over to Debenhams (Oxford St.) for the launch of the highly anticipated (and longly awaited) Kat Von D Beauty line. After first coming across the range both from fellow beauty blogs and at the mothership herself, Sephora. I kinda had a vague idea of the sort of products that I wanted to trial and purchase. After using and reviewing her iconic "Tattoo Eyeliner" (see the post here) I knew from how amazing that product was that the standard was pretty high for the others.

With that being said I came away with the Liquid Lipstick in "Bow n Arrow" which I simply adore, and has become a staple in my everyday makeup routine. As a long-time devotee of the classic nude (90s inspired) lip, "Bow n Arrow" is a perfect shade for achieving this as it's noticeable enough to look like your wearing lipstick but still looks natural. It is also extremely long-lasting when applied in layers, by blotting in-between to create a lip stain effect. In fact I'm currently eyeing up other shades as we speak as there's nothing more satisfying than falling in love with a product that ticks all of your "make-up boxes".

Now that the weather has turned a bit colder and the nights are suddenly drawing in, I feel as though it's the time of year where you can start to experiment with layering different pieces. One of my favourite ways to layer tops is by pairing slightly oversized printed t-shirts-whether thats band tees or my beloved The Mountain tees, is with a roll neck jumper. As there is something so 90s about the combination almost as though I'm channeling my inner skater chick-all I need is to dust off my skate boarding skills. To keep with the 90s theme I decided to pair the outfit with my classic style DM's and a pale wash distressed denim jacket to complete the look.
