Stripes are a one of those patterns that are versatile and perfect as an all-year round staple. As soon as the months get colder my favourite way of styling items like these is by layering it with contrasting textures and pieces that are seasonal.  A new purchase which I've been featuring fairly frequently on the blog is this New Look cord "borg" jacket, with a shearling collar. It's the perfect jacket for this in-between weather we've been experiencing as of late, as it's just warm enough. On the choker front of things (an accessory which has quite left my neck since my obsession started) is this cord tie version, with delicate silver hardware leaves attached to the ends. I just love how it adds a minimalistic touch to whole look and how easy it is to style. Minimal monochrome outfit are somewhat taking over my wardrobe.

I've been on the look for a denim pair of of cropped style trousers/culottes for far too long to recall, as regular readers are probably all too aware of my culotte obsession. At one point I did spot Topshop stocking a pair that then went into sale, and knowing my luck swiftly went out of stock.

So when I spotted these on an online shopping site called Zaful for £23 I couldn't believe my luck, especially as the item also had express shipping. Fit wise using the measurement details supplied on the website, I found the trousers to be true to fit and a flattering cropped length. I also popped this 'bardot style' top into my basket as I love the cut-out detailing in the sightly flared sleeves, and again fits perfectly with high waisted/rise trousers. Another item which I've been lusting over owning is a pair of tinted aviator glasses,as there is something about the 70s/retro vibe that they exude, and for £2.80 you can't really go wrong.
If you haven't already then I would definitely recommend checking out Zaful for on-trend, affordable pieces and makes for easy browsing.

Posting this outfit feels as though autumn as fully sprung into season, with the leaves turning warm tones, the nights drawing in and that sudden chill in the air. There's nothing like the first post of the season to be complete with an autumnal backdrop, and the perfect "borg" jacket . You may notice a slight pinkish hue that has suddenly occurred. Despite being near enough every colour under the sun last year I found myself somewhat yearning to use that untouched bottle of pink hair dye in my beauty drawer.  To be fair I celebrated my 21st yesterday and decided to bite the bullet and go a pastel coloured shade in celebration-because you know what...yolo. Needless to say I think the pink goth has returned.

Just a quick post today sharing a new 'workout' outfit of mine which I've been wearing non-stop. I've been obsessed with these "denim effect" leggings from LIVE! ever since they first landing in my hands as they look so realistic-even down to the detail in the stitching, but feel so comfortable to move around in. In fact they are the perfect piece for when you're rushed for time when working out and don't get the chance to change your outfit. As you could easily get away with wearing these during the day with a relaxed basic tee and leather jacket. Definitely an ideal transitional work out piece for those of us who run busy lives.

A couple of weeks ago I decided to pop by the Serpentine Gallery to explore their summer Pavilion exhibition, where four architects have created structures to reference Queen Caroline's Temple in Kensington Gardens. I was particularly drawn to the structure above, designed by London based architect Asif Khan, as I love its minimalistic structure and simplicity.

It also happened to make a perfect photo opportunity both blog wise and with my new 35mm. As I was eager to get some shots of the structure on film, to see how the impact transitioned on 35mm.  So watch this space as I'm waiting for the perfect opportunity to get my film rolls developed...I currently have four on the go.
The exhibition is on show till 9th October and if you fancy one of them, then you can buy it. Yep really!? These pavilions are for sale and can happily take pride of place in your garden!
